Jennifer Connell's name may not be known, but what she did put her story in the headlines this week.
Connell was the aunt who took her nephew to court, suing over a broken wrist she suffered four years ago when he hugged her, knocking her to the ground.
She and the now-12-year-old nephew Sean Tarala appeared on Thursday's "Today" show.
Connell said she did not want to sue the child, but was advised to name him to get her medical bills paid under homeowners insurance.
"This was simply a case of formality with an insurance claim," Connell said. "I said at the start of this, 'I don't understand why. I don't want to sue Sean.'"
She continued explaining, "An individual has to be named, and in this case, because Sean and I had this fall together, I was informed that Sean had to be named. I was never comfortable with that."
A jury decided not to award Connell the $127,000 she sued for.
