A Washington man was taken into custody in Wilsonville, Oregon, on Wednesday in connection with the death of his girlfriend, police said.

According to The Associated Press, David Kalac, 33, surrendered and was charged with second-degree murder in Tuesday's slaying of Amber Lynn Coplin in Port Orchard, Washington. After the multistate manhunt came to an end, he reportedly was booked on $2 million bail in Portland.

Police are investigating images posted on the Internet that matched the victim and crime scene, according to court documents. On Tuesday, Seattle's KIRO-TV found an unverified message with a link to a 4chan.org discussion in the comment section of the Port Orchard Independent.

The message on 4chan was surrounded by photos of a dead woman's body. The victim appears nude with marks on her throat.

"Check the news for Port Orchard Washington in a few hours,” the comment next to the photos reads. “Her son will be home from school soon. He'll find her, then call the cops. I just wanted to share the pics before they find me. I bought a BB gun that looks realistic enough. When they come, I'll pull it and it will be suicide by cop. I understand the doubts. Just check the [expletive] news. I have to lose my phone now."

“The poster also made comments that she put up a fight,” according to Kalac’s court documents.

Police believe Coplin was targeted Tuesday. Neighbors said there was a fight that was also heard by the victim's son.

Kalac’s cellphone and laptop were gone from the apartment, police said. The victim’s purse reportedly was dumped out.

Court documents say the victim’s son found his mother after school.

“She killed me first” was written on the bedroom wall, “bad news” was written on the bedroom blinds and the word “dead" was written on the victim’s driver’s license, according to investigation documents.

Kalac allegedly threatened to kill a different girlfriend last March, according to court documents. She filed a restraining order.
