Oklahoma governor Mary Fallin’s daughter is living in a trailer parked on the grounds of the governor’s mansion.
The mansion currently supports the utilities of Christina Fallin's travel trailer, meaning taxpayers are footing the bill for those services.
Oklahoma City code mandates travel trailers move after 14 days. They may only be hooked up to a home’s electrical outlets temporarily.
Fallin’s mansion grounds are owned by the state and are not governed by those codes.
Oklahomans expressed confusion about the living arrangements. One resident wondered why she would live in a trailer when she could live in the mansion with her mother.
Other local residents didn't seem worried about the unusual living arrangement. Texters told KRMG "It only costs $200-$300 a month for a camper's power/water....big deal."
Christina Fallin is a member of the electronica band Pink Pony, in addition to doing consulting and lobbying work.
