An LSU professor is claiming another instructor on campus has the coronavirus, and he is refusing to return to school until the teacher’s tests come back negative or the person is symptom-free for two weeks.
In an email to his students Tuesday night, the professor said the teacher in question is the supplementary instructor for his class, according to Tiger TV.
The professor said he is displaying a few symptoms of the illness but said he can’t be tested for it until he proves he came into contact with someone who has the virus.
The professor is quarantining himself and told his students he would keep them updated.
LSU said it is aware of the situation, but no one has tested positive for the virus among its faculty, staff or students.
