The fatal shooting of Alexia Christian in a gunfight with Atlanta police Thursday was the latest in a series of metro Atlanta officer-involved shootings recently, some of which have been called into question by critics of police. Many remain under investigation.

A listing of recent shootings includes:

April 30, 2015: Alexia Christian, 25, was shot and killed after police say she opened fire on Atlanta officers from the backseat of a patrol car.

April 8, 2015: Yuric J. Ussery, 22, was shot after police say he brandished a firearm while fleeing Atlanta police officers who tried to stop him for jaywalking in the Mechanicsville neighborhood.

March 24, 2015: Smyrna police shoot and kill Nicholas Taft Thomas, who they say drove at them in a customer's Maserati at the garage where he worked as he was trying to flee service of an arrest warrant.

March 9, 2015: Anthony Hill was naked and unarmed when he was shot and killed by a DeKalb County officer answering a call for a suspicious person at an apartment complex.

March 4, 2015:

Jan. 30, 2015: Abayomi Royalston, 26, who was brandishing a handgun, was wounded after a Sandy Springs police officer answering a domestic disturbance call fired multiple shots at him, the GBI said.

Dec. 29, 2014: Kevin Davis, a 44-year-old with no history of trouble with the law, was shot by a DeKalb officer who responded to Davis' 911 call that a man had stabbed his girlfriend. Davis was carrying a gun when the officer entered the apartment.
