Lain Shakespeare, executive director of the Wren’s Nest House Museum, will speak at the Buckhead Business Association’s weekly breakfast and networking meeting 7:30-9:30 a.m. today at the City Club of Buckhead,3343 Peachtree Road, Suite 1850.

The museum, the historic home of Atlanta Constitution journalist Joel Chandler Harris, is a National Historic Landmark located in south Atlanta. Harris gained fame in the 19th century by publishing the "Brer Rabbit" stories, a cycle of African-American literature.

Shakespeare took over at the Wren's Nest in 2006 when the museum was on the brink of closing, according to a BBA news release. The Wren's Nest has since completed a $200,000 conservation project, developed a corps of 45 volunteers, and built a heralded online presence. Tickets are $10 for BBA members and $20 for visitors and guests.
