A Woodstock man has been charged with spying on his neighbors through the back door of their home, police said.
Craig Landrum, 26, was arrested in the early morning hours of Feb. 5 after his neighbor called Woodstock police to report that he had a prowler pinned on the kitchen floor, police said.
When officers arrived at the home on Mincey Way, they were met at the front door by Keith Hirsch, the man who called 911, who handed Landrum over to them, according to a police incident report.
Police took custody of Landrum, who provided "slight passive resistance," according to the report.
Hirsch told the officers he was talking on the phone with his girlfriend, who lives in the house but was out of town, when he noticed a man peering in the sliding glass door from the rear deck. Hirsch said he confronted the man, pinned him to the kitchen floor and called 911.
According to the police report, Landrum, who lives nearby on Tuggle Court, told officers he had been drinking Saturday night and went out for a walk. On his way back home, he said, he became confused and went to the wrong house and was trying to get inside.
When police searched Landrum, they found a pair of binoculars in his pocket, the report stated.
Landrum was arrested and charged with loitering and prowling, criminal trespass and peeping Tom. He was released Feb. 6 from the Cherokee County Detention Center on $7,060 bond, said Lt. Jay Baker, spokesman for Cherokee County Sheriff's Office.
