Sections of Rope Mill Road and Main Street through downtown Woodstock will be closed the afternoon and early evening of Dec. 2 for the city’s Christmas Jubilee Parade of Lights.
The roads will be closed from 4:45 to 7 p.m. from Woodstock Elementary School, 230 Rope Mill, south to Main Street and the Sam's Club at 9464 Main St. A 3K Egg Nog Jog race is to start at 5 p.m., followed by the parade at 5:30 p.m., according to a flyer posted online by the city Parks and Recreation Department.
After the parade, festivities will continue at the Park at City Center, 101 Arnold Mill Road, with Santa Clause in the gazebo, the official park and Christmas tree lighting, awards, children’s activities and food vendors.
