‘Wacky World Playground’ in Alpharetta closed two weeks for repairs

A popular Alpharetta playground closed Wednesday for two weeks as crews do routine maintenance.

The city said contractors and staff will pressure wash and stain the equipment at Wacky World Playground and make minor repairs.

The city described the playground as “a mammoth structure of slides, monkey bars, bridges, towers and swings.”

The playground sits in Wills Park, 11925 Wills Road.

The city recommended residents use the non-wacky Wills Park Recreation Center or check out other parks.
