Union City Public Works began Phase Three of the Pedestrian and Drainage Improvements Project this week. Construction of the 6,200 feet of new sidewalks, gutters and water drainage improvements have begun on three of the city’s streets. The constructions includes crosswalks, newly included drainage points along the three streets and ramps which are compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act requirements. The current phase portion consists of approximately 500 feet of sidewalk on Lakeside Drive, 2,900 feet on Shannon Boulevard and 2,800 feet on Oakley Road.
