Fayette County has volunteer openings on its Recreation Commission and the McIntosh Trail Community Service Board. The recreation post begins Sept. 1 and runs through August 2019; the commission meets monthly to evaluate programs and facilities and make recommendations to county authorities. The McIntosh position involves representing Fayette on a 15-member regional body that addresses the needs of those with mental health issues, developmental disabilities or addictive diseases; the term expires in June 2017.
