The Fayette County Board of Health has openings for two unexpired terms, one for a consumer or advocate of health services and another for a consumer to represent the needy, underprivileged or elderly. The seven-member board works to assess local needs, advocates for public health programs, provides policy guidance for the district health director, and approves and presents the health budget to the county commission. Members are paid $10 per quarterly meeting. Candidates must be over 21 and serve Jan. 1, 2017-Dec. 31, 2022. Contact Floyd Jones at 770-305-5102 or fjones@fayettecountyga.gov.
