The Lilburn Planning Commission recommended rezoning approval recently for development of a residential subdivision with 26 townhomes on 5.85 acres at 255 Arcado Road. The applicant, Ronny Kittle, intends to build four buildings with two-plus story townhomes including garage space and a minimum 2,000 square feet per unit. The 3-bedroom, 2 and a half bath homes would sell for about $200,000.

Access will be provided with a single driveway on Arcado Road to align with Jackson Place and rear alley access to the units fronting Arcado Road.

The proposed townhomes use and density is compatible with existing surrounding uses, consistent with the redevelopment goals of the city for this area, and takes advantage of existing infrastructure and proposed sidewalks on both sides of Arcado Road. The planning commission’s recommendation for approval will go next to the Lilburn City Council on May 9.
