People, we are not having a major weather event. We are having winter—It is an annual event.

I used to think term limits were unnecessary because we could vote the crooks out. However, people keep electing the crooks.

Paying $1,000 for the right to buy a Falcons ticket is like paying the sticker price for a new car.

The news media folks are gleefully reporting how much different this year's storm is than last. They take full responsibility for this change. Atlanta's weather is difficult to forecast and there will be always be some bad calls. GEMA cannot be everywhere and fix everything on the spur of the moment.

If DHS is not worth funding, maybe we don't need it?

In the 1980s four students died when their car skidded off an iced-over Bartow County road. That's one reason the schools are quick to close when the weather threatens.

If you have a covered area outside you can grill food or use a gas burner. Just fyi.

You lose electricity, but not necessarily gas. You can still cook on your gas stove. Duh!

Brine causes way more damage than you can imagine! Ask your northern friends! They do not drive their nice cars in the winter. Instead they all own winter 'beater' cars to sacrifice to the fatal rusting effect of brine! No brine! Nathan wake up!

Enough of this! I am going to South Florida for a few days and some sun rays.

I see an awful lot of "selfish" school bus drivers, too. You know, the ones that won't let the two cars behind them pass after they offload the kids and make them stay behind for three more stops?

Maybe it's time the governor steps in to make the decision of when to close school. The Gwinnett County school superintendent obviously doesn't know how to put the students' safety first.
