When I was young, fast food jobs paid the gas and was movie money. Everyone worked part-time after school or during the summer. They were never meant to be forever full-time jobs. It was a job on your resume.

If you want to see your SPLOST money not working, ride east on Dallas Highway west of Marietta and look at the long, slow, delayed nothing of a project. Is it a sidewalk, a barrier or just and excuse to put cones in the road? Will it end before the election in the fall?

I am glad the football player lost his job after hitting his girlfriend. But if he was in any other business, he would have been fined, taken an anger management program and returned to his life. I guess the rules depend on who you are.
