I’m a middle school teacher who’s all for retention. If you can’t prove you’ve mastered the curriculum, then you shouldn’t move ahead. (Mandatory summer school would work, too.)
Whatever happened to personal responsibility?
I hope these morons continue to let their pants sag. It makes it easier to identify the truly stupid in our society.
As a grandpaw, ("Paw Dad" to my grandkids) I have had them on my shoulders for countless walks and never have I smacked them into a door or ceiling fan. So cringe all you want to. As long as you just shut up and mind your own beeswax. My dad would ride me on his shoulders and I would feel like a giant walking the earth. Kids love that.
Raymond Jordan, the murdered officer’s brother, is a hero in my eyes. And I, too, wish that he would have killed the person that shot the officer.
Cringing ‘Grammy,’ you sound like one of those nanny-type bureaucrats who think you know better than we do how to run our lives. I’m sure if you had your way, there would be a law against daddies carrying their children on their shoulders.
Anyone under 30 panhandling needs to join the military. They’ll have a place to stay, food to eat and a paycheck.
I’m sorry, but if Sweet Auburn’s hopes are resting on that trolley, I wouldn’t give it a lot of hope.
If Daddy puts little Johnny on his shoulders and he gets smacked in the face by the ceiling fan, it’s probably best for everyone that this family doesn’t have any more kids.
Another life lost and another life ruined! When will y’all recognize the dangers of alcohol?
I know it’s cliche, but Mondays suck.
A 72-year-old man with Alzheimer’s stumbles into a yard and is shot and killed. No charges are brought because of the "stand your ground" law. Has it come to that -- where a disabled, stumbling old man is a perceived as a danger to life and prosecutors will not even let a jury decide if that is a legitimate fear?
I didn’t know it’s against the law for bicyclists to use the sidewalk. I was a bicyclist for six months and passed numerous cops and none of them stopped me.
DWA -- Drinking While Armed. Expect to hear more stories like the senseless killing of the police officer in Griffin. Welcome to Georgia.
So a permit carrying, “responsible, law-abiding citizen” shoots a uniformed officer in the back for doing his job. Really didn’t think it would happen so fast, but couldn’t you see the writing on the wall, Georgia?
Too many people are bitten, disfigured and killed by dogs! Outlaw them! Why does anyone NEED a dog? Only trained professionals in law enforcement and the military should have dogs.
