The Vent for Saturday

The vast majority of the men who fought in the Civil War for the south never owned a slave. They were fighting for something besides slavery.

Shame on everyone at that wedding reception that allowed an intoxicated Groom to drive away with his Bride. You knew he had to much to drink.

This younger generation came here with expensive tastes and absolutely no work ethic. They want everything while being willing only to start at the top, not work their way up. They feel entitled and If I am a prospective employer I will take great pleasure as I enlighten them as to their real place in the world

The street car project should be in a museum for stupid ideas!

It would behoove all of us to really read our history books before expressing an opinion on the Civil War.

It would really help if the “thugs” were locked up for their behavior and left there. Giving them the “revolving door treatment” does not work. When will judges learn this?

No matter what minority you are, people judge you on your worst representatives. It may not be fair, but that’s the way it is.

If minimum wage rises, prices rise to cover it. Minimum wage earners won’t win anything. (PS- they will pay more taxes too)

My mother used to tell me that if you can’t teach something to students in 170 days, you can’t teach it to them in 180. She was right.

I don’t think the few missed snow days would impact CRT scores. Just saying….Retired teacher.

Yes, there are still some “freaky plain Jane” dudes. They wear clean clothes, shave, don’t smoke or drink anything stupid, and wear a coat and tie to church. Isn’t that something?

A few days missed in a school year having an impact on SAT, CRT, or anything else is a joke. Forget about making up the days and use some common sense.

It has always been about the economy. Everything else (other than national defense) is a contrived distraction.

It’s getting more obvious — Delta only wants RICH customers!

Can anybody remember when gas was below $ 3.00 a gallon ? Naw we don’t need the Keystone pipeline….waiting 5 years on my windmill car….

Another day, another wreck on I-85 S. at State Route 20 by the Mall of Georgia…and still GDOT won’t extend the entrance ramp. How many wrecks and cars being run off on the shoulder does it TAKE?

But that’s the whole idea. Government collects more taxes while earners think that raise was really great.

Is there ever a time that GPB is not running a campaign??

I sure hope Alec Baldwin doesn’t change his mind about this, too!!

Why is everyone driving so fast…….your destination will be there whenever you arrive.
