Q: For the past several months, on McGinnis Ferry Road, between McFarland and Union Hill roads in Forsyth County, there has been continuous construction going on with some heavy machinery. Holes have been dug and dirt has been moved back and forth, yet after all that time, I see nothing from the roadway except a four-sided concrete structure that appears to be about 30-feet high. Can you solve this construction mystery?

-- Sy Davis, Cumming

A: That is the Lower Big Creek Lift Station, which will pump wastewater from south Forsyth County to the Fowler Wastewater Reclamation Facility, Barry H. Lucas, the deputy director of the Forsyth County Department of Water and Sewer, told Q&A on the News in an email. The facility has been under construction for about eight months and Lucas said it should be finished by August.

Q: Can you find out the status of the negotiations between Dish Network and Peachtree TV? I get a runaround when I call either of them. Baseball season is here and a lot of us in the viewing area may not get to see our Braves.

-- Susan Miles, Marietta

A: There is no change in the negotiations between Dish Network and Peachtree TV, a spokesman for CBS Atlanta (WGCL-TV), which runs Peachtree TV, told Q&A on the News in an email. There is a dispute in the retransmission fees between Dish Network and Peachtree TV, the AJC has reported, which means that Dish isn't showing the network to its subscribers. Peachtree TV was scheduled to air 45 Braves games this year.
