Q: Has the government stopped producing the presidential dollar coins?

—Anne Scott, Fayetteville

A: The U.S. continues to issue $1 coins featuring the images of presidents, in the order they served in office. The U.S. Mint issues four of these coins a year, and this year, Presidents Johnson, Grant, Hayes and Garfield are being honored. Garfield's coin – the 20th in the series – will be released on Nov. 17 (the most recent one before that was Hayes' coin, which was released on Aug. 18). The coin's weight, size and metal composition is identical to the Golden Dollar featuring Sacagawea and the Native American $1 Coins. The program began in 2007, with coins featuring presidents Washington, Adams, Jefferson and Madison. The initial source for the coins are banks, credit unions and thrift institutions, according to the U.S. Mint, which also sells the sets and rolls of the coins on its website at www.usmint.gov.

Q: Why is “The People’s Court” no longer being shown on CBS?

—Christine Haslam, Roswell

A: The change came earlier this month, as CBS Atlanta extended its "Better Mornings Atlanta" show another hour, to 10 a.m. "The People's Court" had aired at 9 a.m. on the station. Atlanta's CW affiliate (WUPA-TV, channel 69 locally), airs "The People's Court" at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. The show replaced the canceled "Judge Pirro."
