The Foundation for Financial Planning has awarded a $75,000 grant to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America to offer financial planning workplace to parents of club members.
Two workshops will be held this year at 10 cities around the country, including the club in Hall County. They will be led by professional financial planners affiliated with the foundation and other experts in the community. The workshops will offer parents practical skills and advice on financial basics, discuss issues relating to the local economy, and offer free personal consultations upon request.
Following presentations and group discussion, participants will have the opportunity to receive free private, one-on-one consultations from professional financial planners. Dates have not been set yet.
