Fixed!-Atlanta
In early April, we told you about a request from George Tokarczyk to fix a pothole at 3334 Peachtree Rd. NE between the Meridian Buckhead and Buckhead Grand Hotel. Potholes are the biggest complaint we receive, and we’re pleased to report that the problem has now been resolved. City officials said the pothole has been fixed and sent us a picture of the now smooth roadway.

Who got it fixed: City of Atlanta Department of Public Works Commissioner William Johnson, 404-330-6240, wmjohnson@atlantaga.gov
New item-Dekalb County
Mary Six wants something done about the traffic on Chamblee-Tucker Road. She’s hoping that someone can find a fix from drivers blocking the intersection and having other commuters sit through multiple light changes.
“Heading east on Chamblee-Tucker Road, the light turning left on to I-85 North gets backed up because traffic exiting from I-85 onto Chamblee-Dunwoody Road blocks the intersection. Actually, it would be more helpful if we had two left turn lanes going onto I-85 North. Is there anything that can be done to make this better? I often sit through three or four light changes there at 8 a.m.” she wrote.
We sent the item to DeKalb County and will keep you updated.

New item-Buford Highway
Robert Giacomini is tired of driving in the dark.
“The street lights in the (Lenox Road and Buford Highway) are all out and it is very unsafe for pedestrians. The state put in new lights along Buford north of Lenox and they are on when you enter Brookhaven, but off in the Atlanta portion,” he wrote.
We sent the item to the DOT to say if they could figure out why some areas of the region still remain dark, and will keep you updated.
