The Suwanee City Council voted 4-2, with Councilmembers Beth Hilscher and Dick Goodman voting against, to approve a rezoning request that makes way for townhomes at 760 Peachtree Industrial Blvd. The 6.1 acres owned by Halifax Enterprises LLC will be developed by Corridor Development Inc. behind two existing commercial properties.
The plan calls for 49 rear-entry townhomes each with a two-car garage and additional parallel parking available along streets. The townhomes will be between 22 and 24 feet wide with a minimum of 2,000 square feet.
The approval came with conditions including a requirement that each unit be setback at least five feet from sidewalks, and all new streets will have five-foot wide sidewalks on both sides with connectivity to Peachtree Industrial Boulevard. Additional conditions address minimum landscaping requirements and architectural standards.
