Final punch list work continues on the Sugar Hill Veterans Memorial. Sign work continues as the city waits on a couple of replacement items.

The sculpture at the west end of the project will be unveiled at the Memorial Day ceremony scheduled for May 25. The city is monitoring public gathering and social distancing guidelines in preparation of the event and is currently anticipating a virtual ceremony.

The Veterans Memorial honors and gives respect to veterans who have risked their lives and sacrificed to secure, protect, and preserve the liberties of all Sugar Hill citizens.

Families of veterans may wish to remember, celebrate and honor their loved ones by purchasing a commemorative, stamped paver to be installed in the plaza. The city is working with a supplier to develop a timeline for the paver project. Information about the opportunity will be released soon.
