The Highway 20 widening project through Sugar Hill will reach a milestone Tuesday. Contractors will begin shifting traffic to the new roadway from Riverside Road to James Burgess Road.

This will allow for construction to begin on the eastbound lanes and bridge. This section of Highway 20 crosses over the Chattahoochee River. Another lane shift is expected next month on the east end of the project.
