Two open houses are planned in Smyrna later this month on the city’s Transit Analysis and Feasibility Study.

Comments are sought from citizens of the Smyrna community to help develop a transit vision for the city and surrounding area.

On behalf of the city, Smyrna Connects will display project information, answer questions and hear input.

Open houses will be:

  • 6:30-8:30 p.m. March 24. Brawner Hall, Reception Room, 3180 Atlanta Road SE, Smyrna.
  • 6:30-8:30 p.m. March 25. Smyrna Community Center, Magnolia Room, 200 Village Green Circle SE, Smyrna.

By May, the conclusion of this study will provide Smyrna “with a full scope of community-supported transit opportunities for the city and surrounding areas, including a fiscally responsible and implementable vision for public transportation services over the next 20 years,” according to the Smyrna Connects website.

This website includes information on the study process and schedule, announcements of meetings, project milestones and documents and opportunities for citizen input.
