A consultant contract was awarded for the Smyrna Transit Analysis and Feasibility Study by the Smyrna City Council on June 17.

The low bidder, Tindale Oliver of Tampa, Florida, will be paid $300,000 by an Atlanta Regional Commission grant and $65,020 by Smyrna.

Expected to take 10 to 12 months to complete, the transit study will provide an analysis and a feasibility study, addressing future transportation and land use issues and opportunities about the potential development of transit systems serving Smyrna.

The Tindale Oliver team (Tindale Oliver, VHB and Sycamore Consulting) received the highest combined (written proposal and interview) ranking by the proposal review team.
