Sidewalk construction in downtown Lilburn will continue through the end of this year. Drivers will experience brief delays from lane closures between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Main Street, Poplar Street and Camp Creek Road.
The Camp Creek Road sidewalk will extend along the east side of the road near the Lilburn Community Garden from Arcado Road to Main Street. The project will continue with sidewalk installation on Main Street and Poplar Street, to be completed by the end of Dec. The 5-foot-wide sidewalks will run along the east side of Poplar Street and both sides of Main Street, with a brick paver strip and decorative lighting on Main Street.
The sidewalks will provide connectivity between Lilburn City Park, the Camp Creek Greenway Trail, the Calvin Fitchett Municipal Complex, Old Town shops, and the new City Hall-library being built at Main and Church streets.
