The Roswell City Council has approved a $215,957 contract to construct a driveway connecting Grimes Bridge and Groveway Community parks.
Ryde Grading submitted the lowest responsive, responsible bid of five bids received, according to a staff report to the council.
A 20-foot-wide driveway with curbs and gutters will connect the parking lots of the Adult Recreation Center and Aquatic Center, allowing emergency personnel and residents to reach either park more easily, staff said.
“The project will restore sidewalk access to the tennis court and pickleball court facilities that (are) affected by this project,” staff said. “A bioretention area will be built to meet the stormwater needs of this project … (and) treat the water from the roof of the Adult Recreation Center.”
