The FBI has reportedly conducted a search at the office of Clayton County Sheriff Victor Hill, who won an opposed race for his seat on Tuesday.

Channel 2 Action News said on Wednesday that federal investigators may have seized items at the sheriff’s office early Wednesday.

“The FBI has just confirmed to me it is conducting court authorized law enforcement activity at Clayton County Sheriff Victor Hill’s office,” Channel 2 reporter Tom Jones said on Twitter.

It is unclear why the action was taken. This story is developing.
