An Athens cheerleading instructor is the latest to join the list of New York Rep. Anthony Weiner's social media female friends.
Traci Nobles, 34, told The Las Vegas Sun via a Facebook conversation that she regrets that her information was sent to the media outlet.
Nobles told the Sun that a roommate went into her Facebook account and emailed the paper a screen shot of a private conversation between her and Weiner.
“She thought someone should know,” Nobles told the Sun.
Nobles, who formerly coached cheerleading at Athens Academy, now teaches classes for the Young Women's Christian Organization in Athens, the YWCO's executive director told the Banner-Herald newspaper Thursday morning. Kitty Meyran declined to discuss Nobles' reported Internet fling with the embattled New York congressman.
“Traci does work for us, but as a matter of professional courtesy we do not discuss personnel issues,” Meyran said.
The YWCO advertised a cheerleading camp that was supposed to begin this week, promoting Nobles as a former cheerleading coach for Athens Academy.
Weiner, 46, has admitted sending explicit photos and messages to women online.
Thursday, a newly released X-rated photo that Weiner purportedly took of himself turned up on the Internet.
And his wife of less than a year, Huma Abedin, is pregnant.
The baby on the way complicated an already ominous forecast for Weiner, who admitted on Monday that he had Tweeted sexually charged photos and messages to six women he did not know, then lied about it to his wife, his family and his constituents. Throughout the week, Weiner has refused to resign.
His fellow Democrats from the White House on down have left little doubt they want him to reconsider — and fast.
"Having the respect of your constituents is fundamental for a member of Congress," Pennsylvania Rep. Allyson Schwartz said in a statement, becoming the first congressional Democrat to make her wishes public.
"In light of Anthony Weiner's offensive behavior online," she added, "he should resign."
