Relief from limited access to parking for frequent users of one MARTA station is about a month out.

Renovations, including the repainting of the building’s exterior, started weeks ago.

MARTA spokesman Erik Burton anticipates the project, which cuts off access to parking, will be completed within four weeks — weather permitting.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this exterior upgrade may cause our valued patrons,” Burton said. “Additional parking is located on the south side of the station.”

MARTA has “planned internal upgrades and enhancements slated for King Memorial and many of our other stations,” Burton said Wednesday, but did not elaborate.

King Memorial is on the Blue and Green Line and has MARTA bus service.
