The search continued on Monday for the suspects who terrorized an east Cobb County family during a home invasion.
Around 10:30 p.m. Friday, police were called to a home in the 700 block of Oak Trail Drive, where the family said four armed men wearing black masks over their faces and all-black clothing entered the house, Cobb County Police spokesman Dana Pierce said.
The family of four was forced into an upstairs bedroom and the two adults were tied up. One of the armed men held the two children at bay, while three others ransacked the house, police said.
Several items were stolen, and the bandits fled in an unknown direction, Pierce said.
No one was injured.
"They kept saying, 'where's the money, where's the money,' and I'm like, 'we don't have any money,'" the family's mother, who didn't want her name released, told AM750 and now 95.5FM News/Talk WSB. "You felt like it was Halloween the way they were dressed."
The mother told the station that she was particularly upset that her children witnessed the incident.
"I feel like, ‘why do the [kids] have to see this,'" she said. "I don't care about anything else. I just didn't want the kids to have to see that."
Police are looking for four men in their late teens or early 20s.
