Motorist heading into downtown Atlanta should be aware of ongoing street closures and construction projects. The Downtown Navigator provides weekly alerts of happenings in town.

The temporary closure of Ted Turner Drive between Mitchell Street and MLK Jr. Drive will remain through July, according to city officials. At this time, lower MLK Jr. Drive. will also be closed during demolition and construction, and Upper MLK Jr. Drive. is closed between Forsyth Street and Ted Turner Drive.

During the State Legislative Session, the temporary restriction of access on Mitchell Street SW between Washington Street and Capitol Avenue will be in effect through Monday, April 20. Signs will direct traffic through the following detour route:

South on Washington Street onto Memorial Drive

East on Memorial Drive onto Capitol Avenue

North on Capitol Avenue
