Forest Park Public Works Department unveiled its new community center, located at 4812 West St. on Monday. Renovation of the former Clayton County library took 90 days and has five meeting rooms, with space enough to seat 300. The building has a kitchen and is equipped with WiFi, but some equipment still needs to be installed.

Once complete, part of the center will be used to show the history of Forest Park.

“So much work’s been done there,” Mayor David Lockhart said. “We’re proud of it and we think you’ll like it.”
