The Norcross City Council voted Monday to provide financing to the city’s Downtown Development Authority to purchase the former IGA store property at 5755 Buford Highway. The intergovernmental agreement allows the city to maintain control of future redevelopment of the property in keeping with the Norcross Town Center Plan. Funds to purchase the property at a cost of $785,000 will come from surplus funds in the city’s coffers.
