The Norcross Development Authority is responsible for the development, growth and preservation of business in the downtown area. The seven-member authority, which meets the first Thursday evening of each month, has an opening for a new member. Candidates for the DDA must be a taxpayer in the city of Norcross or must own or operate a business in the city and reside in Gwinnett County.
The Development Authority focuses on attracting economic development into the downtown area and expanding development toward Buford Highway. They work to integrate the 2030 Comprehensive Plan, 2010 Parking Study, Town Center LCI, Redevelopment Overlay District, Gwinnett Village CID plan for Buford Highway, and evaluate and implement additional ideas from Norcross citizens.
