The Northwest Cobb Water Distribution Loop project is expected to begin in late spring and continue for about a year.

This project will improve reliability of water service in the northwest Cobb area by installing about 12,500 linear feet of 12-inch ductile iron pipe water main, according to Cobb Commissioner Bob Weatherford in his email newsletter.

Some homeowners will have their water shut off for a short time when their service line is moved from a Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority transmission main to the new Cobb County water line.

Homeowners will be notified in advance of the short duration shut-off.

The new water main will run along Cheatham Road from Old Stilesboro Road to Highway 92 and along Old Stilesboro Road from Cheatham Road to County Line Road.
