Morrow City Council recently discussed funding body cameras for its police force during a recent budget work session. The discussion was allegedly an extension of a conversation started last month a Morrow’s council retreat.

Officials didn’t seem to have an issue with the cost of the cameras. The discussion seemed to lead to costs of storing the equipment. Estimates of as much as $150,000 a year emerged.

Another issue that caused officials to question if the city should get body cameras was concerns about privacy and creating a policy for use of the cameras.

In the end the council agreed to continue looking into the possibility, but made no commitments.
