A Cobb County martial arts instructor accused of molesting a student is facing additional charges in Fulton County, according to police.

Young Jin Shim, 32, spent 15 days in Cobb County jail following his January arrest on child molestation, rape and sexual battery charges.

Cobb County police previously said a female student told investigators she and Shim were involved with a sexual relationship at his Martial Arts Academy of Tae Kwon Do on East Piedmont Road.

Now, Roswell police say similar crimes happened at Shim's home in that city with the same victim. Shim was re-arrested April 25 by Roswell police and charged with aggravated child molestation, rape and enticing a child, according to Fulton County jail records.

The female victim told police she was 14 years old at the time the physical relationship began and that she ended it about a year later, according to an arrest warrant obtained by the AJC. The alleged relationship lasted from roughly September 2009 until September 2010.

Shim remained jail without bond Wednesday night.
