A new web page hosting all the materials associated with community planning for the former Milton Country Club has been announced by the city.

“While these initial meetings may be over, the planning is just getting started,” the city said. “This is a comprehensive process that begins with very high level information (this is where we are at this point), and then works its way down to more detailed discussion, ultimately delivering a draft concept plan for the park that is presented to the community and the council for official comments and feedback.”

As for the club’s current condition: Passive areas, such as the former golf course, remain officially closed to the public; swim and tennis programs for 2019 will be discussed in the coming weeks; and mowing has been suspended for the season but will begin again the spring.

The South Woods have been excluded from mowing in a test of the natural reforesting process, the city said.
