Milton has retained a marketing consultant to conduct a retail recruitment study at a cost of $50,000 for the Ga. 9/Deerfield corridor.

The City Council approved a professional service contract to have the Buxton Group to supply “custom marketing materials and strategies targeting the unique site requirements of retailers, developers and commercial real estate brokers,” according to a staff summary to the Council.

“Buxton is the industry leader in customer analytics and experts in driving retail growth,” staff said.

The city has three objectives: To recruit new retailers and restaurants, retain existing businesses, and understand current economic conditions, staff said.
