The Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources will host a public information meeting about an upcoming water main replacement project 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 28 at Grayson Senior Center, 475 Grayson Parkway.

Work will begin June 10 to replace more than two miles of pipe along Grayson New Hope Road. During the year-long project, 1.75 miles of 4-foot diameter pipe and .6 mile of 12” pipe will be installed to ensure long-term reliable water service for the southeastern portion of Gwinnett.

Drivers using Grayson New Hope Road and Brannan Boulevard will experience intermittent road and lane closures. Access to local residences will be available throughout construction and detour routes will be clearly marked.

Water Resources staff will be available during the meeting to answer questions and share information on the project, including detour routes. Residents are invited to drop in any time during the meeting to find out how their neighborhood and commute might be affected.
