The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted at its Nov. 21 regular meeting to rezone 0.63 acres of property on Foster Drive near Jonesboro Road from C-2 General Commercial to C-3 Highway Commercial.
The applicant, Battery Source, made the request to allow the sale of golf carts in the Shoppes of Henry Crossing retail complex on the northeast corner of the I-75/Jonesboro Road interchange. Battery Source is a Thomasville-based company with 21 stores currently in operation in Georgia, Alabama and Florida. The company previously received approval of variances from the county’s Zoning Advisory Board regarding roof pitch of its building, road frontage, lot size and impervious surface.
