Following a public hearing Dec. 16, the Lilburn City Council voted unanimously to approve a revised Redevelopment Plan and Tax Allocation District map. The new TAD replaces one adopted in October of 2008. Due to economic conditions, the original redevelopment options within the TAD did not materialize.

Previously the Redevelopment Plan and TAD shared the same boundaries. Lilburn’s new Redevelopment Plan map has been expanded to accommodate potential future commercial development along Indian Trail and Lawrenceville Highway. However, the boundaries for the new TAD are significantly smaller in order to focus on revitalization of downtown Lilburn.
