Lilburn will hold a special municipal election on May 19 to fill vacancies for Lilburn Mayor and City Council Post 4. The mayor and council members serve four-year terms and are elected at large, meaning that each member represents all city residents.

Anyone interested in running for one of the open positions must qualify before 5 p.m. March 4 in the office of the City Clerk at City Hall, 340 Main St.

The municipal special election will be held 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. May 19 at Lilburn City Hall, 340 Main St. Advanced voting will take place 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 27 through May 15. Questions about the municipal special election: Melissa Penate at 770-638-2226 or mpenate@cityoflilburn.com.
