The Lilburn City Council recently approved an ordinance allowing drive-thru or service windows at package (liquor) store locations in the city. The city tabled a motion to approve the drive-thru windows at the April meeting while they looked into the details of a Georgia Department of Revenue ordinance allowing for drive-thru or service windows at alcohol package store locations.

The approved ordinance allows licensed retail dealers who sell distilled spirits or packaged malt beverages a drive-thru window when they comply with applicable building codes and the city’s overlay district and cover the window with a canopy or roof structure.
