The Lawrenceville City Council agreed Monday to purchase some much needed equipment to impact various areas of city functions. A previously approved capital budget item for database storage will be filled for the cost of $15,194 which includes three years of support.
The city will also purchase sound system and lighting equipment for use by bands playing at city concerts and events. The $37,000 contract goes to the highest scoring firm, Sound Solutions LLC and is funded by the rental of equipment fund.
Tire mounting and balancing equipment will also be purchased for use on fleet vehicles and equipment. The truck tire changer is a replacement for an obsolete changer that is no longer supported with replacement parts. The motorcycle tire changer and wheel balancer are new equipment additions.
The $18,253 purchases are funded by capital outlay and repair and maintenance equipment funds.
