The Lawrenceville City Council voted recently to approve the purchase of an unmanned aerial vehicle. The drone will be used in documenting crime scenes, surveillance, automobile accident investigations, and search and rescue.

The $10,926 drone will be purchased from the lowest of three bidders, GRESCO Technology Solutions. This purchase is funded by the Capital Outlay Fund and is a Local Asset Forfeiture expenditure.
