The Lawrenceville City Council voted recently to approve services by the design engineer, Kimley-Horn and Associates Inc. to begin plans to convert Clayton Street and Perry Street back to two-way traffic.

The project is part of Lawrenceville’s Livable Centers Initiative efforts to slow down traffic in the town center. In addition the study will evaluate changes to traffic light signal timing designed to slow motorists.

These changes combined with previously reported efforts to reroute existing State Routes U.S. 29/S.R. 8 and S.R. 120 around the town center hope to make pedestrian traffic safer and divert through traffic around the downtown area.
