At the city’s April 15 virtual council meeting, Lawrenceville voted to award a $665,693 contract for the Fueling Station Project. Smith & CO., Inc. was the overall low bidder for the project.

This project includes the demolition of a former convenience store including the structural steel and masonry structure including slab and foundations while not disturbing fueling equipment, canopy, tanks, and piping.

An approximately 186-square-foot equipment building will then be erected to house new fueling station control equipment. New site development work will include installation of utilities, storm water piping and structures, electric, and natural gas supply piping for an emergency back-up generator.

In a separate action the city approved a $133,544 contract with United Pump and Controls for the necessary repairs and upgrades of tank and pump at the new fueling station.
